Huh... they really seem to be trying hard to make Pokemon different, and better... who knows, it might end up good. :)

Yeah, 'tolerable' might be better than 'good'... :D

Pokemon... I don't know. If you really love menu-based combat and pointless random battles just so you can try to collect all the things in teh game (something with no real reward)... then I guess its okay... but I'd rather play a game with a story. Oh, sure, now I don't dislike menubased combat as much as I used to... but still. Its just not that good! If you're going to have to spend a lot of time wandering around fighting idiotic random battles... I want a reason! Pokemon's story is so thin that it barely exists... if you love collecting (via random battles) then you like it. Otherwise? Erm

Oh... and the cartoon... its not awful. Its probably fine for the age group its made for, actually... that is just a younger group. Not a terrible cartoon, just corny and often lame...

Any game that is made by former members designers of Dragon Quest and Earthbound is definitely something that will get me interested.

I still don't know what to think about this. The game is called Pokemon Colloseum. If the stadium mode is not the bulk of the game then why would they name it that? Either Nintendo is the dumbest company in the entire universe or the RPG mode is a lot smaller then we're being led to believe.

Or they're trying to draw in fans of the N64 games but will, when the thing is closer to release, hype the RPG mode too, perhaps? You're too cynical... I'd think calling it 'Colloseum" is good for people who are Pokemon fans. Not so good for drawing in new fans, but hey... that's what marketing is for. :)

The Stadium games aren't nearly as popular as the regular Gameboy RPGs. Fans have been screaming for a regular console Pokemon RPG ever since Pokemon Red/Blue came out, but all Nintendo gave us were lesser spin-offs.

Even the official Pokemon Colosseum website (which is in Japanese) doesn't say much about the RPG mode which is why it's hard to believe it's as big as the rumors are saying. That interview with Genius Sonority doesn't really help to dispel those rumors, though.

Yes. Oh, and you are right... it is odd that they might be trying to say there is a relatively deep RPG mode while not mentioning or hyping it at all...

They call it a FULL LENGTH RPG, so either they are LYING TO OUR FACES, or more reasonably, some sort of translation error, or very hopefully, it really IS a full length game. Yeah, calling it Pokémon Colloseum is kinda odd as it doesn't really make it clear there's an RPG in there...

Lying? Nah, I think they could find a way to squirm out of it... they always do...
