Halo isn't THAT bad, but it certaintly could have used about six months more work.

myst was the first interactive screen saver.:D

I remeber when i first got it and played it I was like what the hell!
None of this makes any sense, Trying to make sense of it just made me feel stupider for playing it. So I returned it and got a refund since the future shop guy said it was actually fun.

Its a "adventure" game. In this case 'adventure' means 'look at the pretty pictures while solving logic puzzles'... its an adventure in tedium and boredom. :)

I enjoyed Myst. It was certainly different. Instead of collecting items you collected information. So, I actually had to write stuff down. Still, I enjoyed it. Not the best adventure game, but I wouldn't say it was terrible.

Sims isn't that bad. It's like animal crossing in that it can get you hooked for weeks on end, then you find it boring for a few months, then you get sucked back in again.

Myst... well maybe it wasn't TERRIBLE, but it certainly was mediocre. The puzzles aren't very interesting and have no connection with the world they are in. That world just sits there and says 'i look nice'... detached adventures in looking at stuff. :)

As for The Sims, its mostly popular among non-gamers... it looks ridiculously boring to me, though.

The puzzles are connected in that you have to examine the world you are in to solve them. If you don't look around you won't find the information you need. It was fun looking around for clues, and they were hidden rather well. The puzzles couldn't just be a chain of things you solved one after another, ala The 7th Guest or The 11th Hour. They wouldn't be nearly the same if all the clues were presented up front. Some clues had to be gained by solving other puzzles and such. In general, I think the world was a needed part of the experience, not just there for it's looks.

Ah, the 7th Guest. I was immersed in that game until I got to a puzzle I tried for what seemed like forever to solve and when I couldn't, I stopped playing.

I believe it had something to do with a microscope...

Yeah, 7th Guest has an even more blatant seperation of puzzles from the world they are in...

Myst is to brainey for most people, but it just waisnt engaging enough it was just one puzzle after another ,I wish it had more of a story too start with then you solve it later ,instead It was just confusing.

At that time I had either war2 or myst so I choose war2.

It has a bad, barely existant story and lame puzzles... not the worst game, but not very good. But because of the graphics it was a megahit... and it helped destroy adventure games. Hmm, I wonder why I dislike it...

without a story or purpose myst is a waste of time.A story can tell were you need to go , But in myst thats part of the challenge is knowing exactly what your sopposed to do or archieve.
