Link doesn't exactly have much of a personality, what exactly makes his character so great? Is it just the look? The role he plays? If that were the case, I'd certainly have had Sephiroth on my list. Now he has the look, and is such a misunderstood character.. a tragic figure.

Well, first of all he's an elf, and everybody knows [or at least should know] that elves are supremely cool. Then, there's the look: the clothes, the sword, the shield, ect. Also, he's the legendary hero! Evil ungulfs the land and he rises up to kick some moster booty! And he rides a horse, sails on a boat, and occasionally sticks on a mask that turns him into one of three creatures. And don't even get me started about how cool he is in Soul Calibur 2!!

Oh and like those Squaresoft characters are so great because of their original brooding personalities, Hudson? Come on now...
