Looks very atmospheric. Gameplay-wise, though, it doesn't look very new or interesting...

To be honest, I can't see any gameplay at all in those pics. The first two COULD show some hiding and fighting abilities, but then again for all I know they could just be parts of cutscenes.

Have you downloaded IGN's latest trailer?

It's 14MB, but it's worth every second. The video shows off the main aspects of gameplay, which seem to be a fusion of shooting and dancing. Those shots don't reveal anything about the gameplay, but they're all in-game shots (although #2 is obviously a screenshot planned to show off the character model).

Here's a link to the IGN media page. The trailer is named, "Venessa dances and kicks tail (must see)"

Yeah, but why dancing? It looks really corny that way; like something trying to clone the Matrix's style.

Hey guess what? The Matrix ripped off "Ghost in the Shell" and several John Woo movies, so it's not like it's the most original movie ever made. And when did they dance in The Matrix? I know that there's a big dance routine in the next Matrix movie, but nobody has seen what it looks like just yet so they couldn't have copied them.

The dancing does look a bit silly, but I still want it more than any other Capcom game coming out for the GC this year.

Yeah I wonder how they're gonna do that. It's supposed to be a really big musical number.

I'm so stoked about the next two Matrix movies. I mean, I really shouldn't inflate my expectations. It's just too...exciting not to. You see, the only way the Matrix could be a complete success in my mind is if it redefined "cool" like the first. That is something incredibly hard to do, especially with sequelitis. It's funny, because I know that there is no way I will be completely satisfied, and yet I continue to giggle like a school girl when I think of it.

Admittedly, PN03 is going for a similar style as the Matrix, but if Mikami can pull it off, I wouldn't mind. The make-or-break aspects of this game will be controls and animation. Right now, animation doesn't look up to par for a game that needs fluidity. It is getting so close to the Japanese release date and yet we know so little about the game.

Yeah the two Matrix movies should be pretty cool.
