It was always pretty strange about what seemed to be going up in cost and the cause was fairly obtuse from the start, but here it is.
Greed, and nothing more. Companies in control of major commodities like oil and food simply all got greedy after the lockdown and decided to just start hiking up prices. This had knockon effects all down the chain of dependency, and here we are. It's obscene, frankly.
