If you do this, the number of new threads on this board will decrease 75%.

But maybe the number of posts will go UP! Ever think of that?

Probably not. There will be a reduced capacity to establish context. I guess.
I mean, we did just delete a whole forum supposedly dedicated to Youtube videos. And, when the original thread was made years ago, it was when Youtube was still new and novel. <object width="640" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/IBRL7D0wcXM&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/IBRL7D0wcXM&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>

So what, you delete my thread and then just give yourself credit for finding that video up there? Way to stay classy GR.
Besides, sometimes we want a thread to something a little more specific than "videos". <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JdxkVQy7QLM&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JdxkVQy7QLM&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

etoven, your "embedded embedding" of flash videos that ALREADY provide their own embed tags is not only redundant and pointless, those videos are skipping like crazy in those things.
