    I like the Prequel Trilogy.

The Special Editions of the original films aren't that bad either. My biggest complaint is that they removed the Ewok victory song at the end of ROTJ, that's a definite loss... as for 'Han shot first', sure, yeah. At least in the second special editions (for the recent DVD release) they shoot at the same time, that's good enough really. :)

They removed the Ewok victory song? What the hell, that was the only part about the movie I liked.

It was replaced with those victory scenes in Coruscant, etc, yeah (cheering crowds, etc)... now I like those scenes too, but it should have been and, not or. :)

At the time in '97 when the Special Editions were shown in theaters (I saw all three in theaters that year), it was pretty interesting, though, because it was the first time we saw any footage of Coruscant in one of the movies...

Anyway though, RotJ is my favorite Star Wars movie. Empire Strikes Back and Revenge of the Sith are tied for second. After that... hmm. Third - ANH, then AotC, then PM in last... but I think all of them are great, Phantom Menace actually is a quite good movie despite my putting it last.

The story of putting hope in someone amazing but ultimately human who bares the same burden we all share and to watch it turn for the worst is a great story. Hitler was a beloved family man with visions of prosperity before going insane with power. Sadly the prequel missed its mark completely. All it really did was make the original trilogy look even better.

There was a shift in hollywood. Gone are the days of storytelling and human drama, imagination and just creation as a whole. It was replaced with a misguided abuse of ego; some filmmakers took it upon themselves to be teachers who constantly scrutenize their work for its possible negative impact on the minds of youth. Replacing guns with walkie talkies or 'updating' a film to remove a particular line. It's anarchy, a ridiculous mess. The prequel trilogy was designed from the ground up with those very ideals in mind and we got a huge, bland waste of film. Thank God ep3 was better, I swear most of the people watching it didnt even recognize the love/tragedy until the mask was sealed in place at the moment Padme died.

'its for kids' is the bane of all that is good. Do you think James Cameron designs anything for kids? Name one kid who hasn't seen Aliens or the Terminator and didn't fall in love. Kids are just like adults: they like stuff that doesn't suck and what they can grow with, watch it 5 years later and see and understand more. The prequel trilogy only whispers those ideals. 50 years from now people will be buying Aliens on BubbleChip Soft-Laser immersion w/In-Brain Spherical audio (warning on the back: any user having feelings of paranoia or sudden and uncontrolable feelings of anxiety and/or fear should stop the film imeadiately and seek an OnlineDoctor for mentalhealth and clarity uploads) and the prequel trilogy will be on DVD floating around E-bay for 150 Euros, 700 points of AmericanCredits or 2 & 1/2 grams of Martian Sulfate (refined).
