Haha, yeah Star Trek has always had some really cheesy moments.

I actually mistook the first few seconds of the new ST0 film trailer to be a car commercial, I waisnt expecting a sports car in a trek movie.

This film looks like it will be character focused, So it probaily will be good especially with B&B hands far away from it.

Should they make a new tv series based on TOS with this cast in it, The years inbetween the original series and the first motion picture ?

J. Michael Straczynski and Micheal Hewitt Wolfe should be involved in the creative process in any future tv series, Ronald D Moore will soon be done with BSG so maybe he can come back too.

All that is pending wither or not this film succeeds, if it does the Trek franchise can recover from the rut of Enterprise.
