It makes one wonder who's actually closed minded here... I know exactly what I'd need to see to convince me to change my mind (and seeking to obtain such abilities for myself at any cost). By the way, the skeptic magician you are thinking of is James Randi.

As for that... article... Maybe they should let an expert actually examine that body before we jump to any conclusions?

On the chupacabra well it doesn't resemble the description that is generally associated with the beast, Most accounts describe it as "lizard like" or even insectoid. This is clearly mammalian. This the first "claim of Chupacabra" that actually has remains or something to show.

Its looks like a giant rat , I think its a known exotic zoo animal that escaped and was just found in a area were it was unidentifiable to the locals.

That seems unlikely, but certainly more plausible than a chupawhatsit. It's as if any unknown random creature will fit the bill of "chupacabra" though. It is odd how all previous descriptions (some contradictory) are tossed out the window so long as the NAME can be attached.

This is really no different than someone seeing a strange light in the sky and automatically assuming "aliens", when in reality, it's an unidentified object, which could be anything from a weather balloon to a flare to glare.

In both cases they reach their conclusion beforehand and try and match whatever evidence they have into that presupposition. Why not just admit you have no idea what it is and maybe you should look at it?

Anyway, it's not that something like a bigfoot can't exist, it's just the lack of evidence. Clearly there are plenty of undiscovered creatures but to jump from there to say that one SPECIFIC undiscovered creature with very specific features then must exist is not a logical leap. You can only make that claim if you have other evidence to back that up.

Want a chupacabra? Fine. Stab one in the neck and show me the body. They at least have a body this time, but it doesn't match any description I ever heard of a chupathingy.

Things a blood sucker would need,Taking from Vampire bats as blue print. Heres what I think such a creature would need to fit the description.

Upper incisor teeth "vampire" fangs , No large grinders or back teeth unless its not a blood sucker. It would need clipper teeth to remove hair, The rest is purely suction. Anticoagulant in the saliva would be expected as is the case with the blood consuming bats,A liquid diet digestion track.

Since this isn't a tiny flying creature that latches on discreetly , It needs to actually kill the host being drained perhaps some kind of paralyzing agent or venom?

The creature shown in the pictures can be clearly ruled out.

The real original culprit my guess?
