I do look a bit unusual, but it's on purpose, and I do okay. Girls dig it, I get to look like a futuristic mutant cavaliere, and I have manly enough interests that confusion isn't an issue (women, beer, heavy metal, history of war, etc.) I'm trying to find one where I look relatively conventional but it's kinda hard considering the whole point of taking pictures. Ya know, I hear every now and then when someone afraid of an emergent technology talks about the dangers this occasional gem. "It could competely redefine what it means to be human and/or utterly change the way we live our lives." I guess the idea is they like things "just the way they are" but don't they get that for people like us, that is a DESIRABLE quality? I LOVE the idea of changing EVERYTHING suddenly! CHAOS!
It's not like we'd FORCE you to get the nanobot body. Everyone would still be free to choose, just like you are free to not get a cell phone or get a computer. It would just be foolish, that's all. The reason everything would completely change in a frightening way is because most people would want to adopt it. So sorry your PRECIOUS world infrastructure was overhauled without your prior concent! Just invent "Amish 2", the new amish community for people who like the good ol' days of 2007 and stay out of our way!
