This is all too true.... I myself have bounced around from quantum physics to the origin of the Joker to something about an Atari game called "Impossible Mission".

We, as a species, have a massive database.

I'm serious here. A borg style collective is not an inherantly bad idea. Just don't force it on people, they'll join of their own will, which will become OURS.

Yes, that seems to happen to me every time I go to that site... :)

Whatever it is you went there to look up, you're bound to find it... after going through fifteen other unrelated pages first. And forgetting what you came there to find a few times. :D

That is incredibly funny and true. Wikipedia, despite its flaws, is such a great site.

Yeah, and it's only going to get bigger and more comprehensive.

Ah the hours I've wasted on Wiki...too numerous to count.

The number of times that I've thought of something randomly and decided to learn everything there is about it, only to find myself flying from one end of the encyclopedia to the other with somewhat marginally related topics is staggering.

It's fun, though, for someone like me who enjoys useless information.

I see, you don't recognize one of them. Well I can see that.

You see, the giant is a collosus, and there's that shadow OF the collosus.

I suppose if any of us had played Shadow of the Colossus we'd understand, right?

I'd say that's fairly vital to understanding the joke.

Well then, I can see why it wouldn't make sense to you. I doubt it would be funny if you don't know Shikamaru's character...

Sorry, I won't have a PS2 anytime soon. (but yes, if I did, I'd definitely get them... and I did play Ico for a few minuites once like five years ago, though I know that that means little other than to say "yeah I know it's good and if I had a PS2 I'd get it"...)

I bought ICO four years ago but barely played it.

I have no idea why Sony had to put the game on a blue disc. Morons.

It didn't take up enough room to need anything else? What's the problem with it being on a CD instead of a DVD?

Anyway, yeah that ninja guy in the... net shirt... has the power to control people in shadows. And that's the SHADOW, and it's a collosus, it's like a pun. Also, he's lazy. Everything's a big troublesome drag if it requires effort.

Of course this joke needed too much explaining so as a result, it's not that funny to you.

Because many PS2s lost the ability to read the blue CDs as they aged due to faulty lasers. Mine was among them.

Oh... Many lost the ability to read DVDs and kept their CD laser alligned. I'm not sure which incident happened more, but a friend of mine lost the DVD ability. That person was GLAD certain games were printed on CDs instead of DVDs.

    Mine reads both just fine.

I have been meaning, for literally years, to make the "Bag of Bones" entry complete and comprehensive.

Never have, though. When you get down to it, reading Wiki is fun. Editing pages is a pain in the ass.

Wikipedia is evil... it chews up time so easily...

*reads GameFAQs review of Seal of Evil, a Chinese Diablo clone. It says that the Baiyue people in the game are also known as the Hmong/Mien. Decides to look stuff up on Wikipedia.*

    Baiyue->Yue (state) - Hmong-Mien - Wu (state) - Qin Shi Huang - The 100 - Ts'ai Lun - Empress Deng Sui ... Isabella of Castille - Ferdinand of Castille - several other Spanish royalty - Mary I (of England) - Lady Jane Grey - Elisabeth I - wait, it's 1 am?

    :)
