Pretty awesome news, and unexpected... Konami made the best beat 'em ups, and this one never got any kind of a home port. Even The Simpsons had a DOS version, though they couldn't do console versions because of licensing, but X-Men had nothing, until now. It's awesome that that's changed. It is only 4 player on a single system (6 player online, drop in drop out), but you can't do better than four on a single system on the 360.

Too bad there's not a Wii version...

    Welcome to DIE!

Ah, one other note. It's great that this game is finally available at home (last I saw it was at a local arcade). It does make me wonder about one last Konami 2D beat 'em up yet to hit the home consoles though. Where my Simpsons arcade game at?

I don't remember that line, but I did play the arcade game sometimes, and definitely thought it was pretty good, just like The Simpsons and both TMNT arcade games. It's definitely great it's finally getting a home port.

Just like X-Men, licensing reasons have always made this not happen... though as I said there were early '90s PC (and C64) versions, those are definitely not perfect ports. Hopefully the licensing for that one will be worked out too, like this one was, and we'll finally see a home console version of that arcade classic...

It shouldn't be that hard. The Simpsons creators tend to hand out their license to make games rather often. It shouldn't be too difficult for Konami to work out a deal with them.

That line is something Magneto says to you at one part of the game when he collapses the ground below you sending you to another level. I think it was supposed to be something more like "Welcome to your death" but it got all engrishy, and the voice actors, bless 'em, just went with it.

Wasn't the cabinet double-wide, with two screens? How will that translate into the home version?

I believe it had both single and double screen versions. The 6-player cab was double screen, the 4-player and below cabs single screen, I think.

This will have six player online, but just 4 player single system... but yeah, we'll see. In HD though they should be able to fit both, maybe with black bars for size... I'm not sure though, that is something to work out. It's like the home ports of Darius 1 and 2 and The Ninja Warriors, the home ports had to figure out how to make 3-screen arcade games work on a single screen. They work, but it's not as good of course.

etoven, why do you keep putting in tags to make all your text white? It's unreadable without highlighting it.

I said that too, but etoven doesn't care if people can't read what he's writing, evidently.

There are tags in your post.

If you aren't putting them in, I have no idea how they got in there.

BTW, I just changed themes from TC Twilight to TC Sunlight, and on my browser the text changed from white (the default Twilight text color) to black the default Sunlight color..

So, I really cant tell you whats going on.. I've attached a image of what I see. You can clearly see from my screen capture that the text I'm typing is not showing up as white.

Well THAT post isn't white for us either. It's the one I responded to. The rest appear just fine. I'd check your browser addons. Maybe some sort of form-filling addon is doing it by mistake.
