These people think farmers are evil SS nazi's who get pleasure out of killing live stock. They actually belive cows care if they live in a fealthy urianed stained enviroment.

In the wild these animals would be riped to shreads and devoured while perhaps still alive by predators. While we humans provide free food and lodging compared to the cold harsh reality of the great out doors.

Just because the sperm whale eats cuddle fish in great quanities it doesnt mean its evil , We humans need to eat too.

I always thought PETA was slightly insane. If they don't want to eat meat, fine, but don't try to tell me that I should do the same.

    From PETA:

Quote:If we are revolted by comparisons between the plight of animals and the plight of human victims of oppression, it can only be because we are not yet prepared to accept our own role in the animals’ fate.

    Yeah right. *eat a hamburger*

PETA is stupid... I do think they have a good point that factory farms are cruel to the animals, but they take it so ridiculously far that they destroy almost all of their credibility...

I remeber they made a absurde claim that cows milks causes osteoporosis! They said drink a beer instead and save the animals.

I feel if your gonna eat it , its perfectly fine by me your just following the law of nature. If you kill it for the simple joy of killing it ! then it is imoral.

PETA is indeed nuts. Here's my main beef about vegetarianism. You ask them why we shouldn't eat meat and they respond "Animals are no different than people!". Then, you ask them why animals can eat meat and we cant. The usual response is "Humans have the ability to discern right and wrong, so we should use it!". Sheesh, do they even REALIZE they just contradicted themselves? Problem is, when you believe somethings like this that is a self contradiction, it will trickle down to affect every other thing you believe, so then you end up with them outright lying about milk, MILK of all things. I personally can't stand those who attack the greatness that is milk. *drinks best of Cremia ranch milk*... THE POWER! *faints*

    Anyway...

Beer huh? Suddenly everything PETA has done makes sense...

Soy milk?! Ugh...I'd never drink that nasty crud.

Actually, after reading that site it makes me want to drink more milk, just to spite 'em.

Soy, Satan's milk substitute! Sorry, but the only good soy is soy sauce.

Yeesh, "health experts agree" eh? Name some names, and give quotes, and medical documents. You know, SOMETHING more tangible than just saying "health experts", since we have no idea who you are reffering to.

Are you trying to say that Milksucks.com is trying to trick people into not drinking milk?! They'd never say something bad about milk if it wasn't true!! They are completely un-biased!!

I don't think that there is anything wrong with eating meat, but ABF is right that some of those animals get treated very harshly.

I'm not sure if this is going to stop people from wearing fur though...

They're even selling calendars with these pictures!

Animals aren't completely stupid... they certainly aren't anywhere near as smart as humans, but they're not stupid and don't deserve to be treated as cruelly as they are in factory farms. That is a fact.

If PETA just stuck to reasonable messages they'd probably be a lot more credible, because they do have some legitimate points... but they don't. They have stuff like that Holocaust comparison... and thus destroy any potential credibilty they could have.

got to say I love the pics!:D

Well I used to be Alergic to diary products sadly :( .
But my docter just recently said I show no signs of alergic reaction anymore.I am gonna go buy me a glass of milk!

I remeber a news papper columist speaking about the PETA saying that if it wornt for there graphic disturbing ads he would have supported them. Instead he wishes he could start a organization devouted to better the lives of Abused farmers.

space alien, you ARE aware you don't need to type anything into the subject line to make a post aren't you? I know in ezboard it's anannoying problem but here you can type nothing at all in the subject line and post just fine unless you are making a new thread. No need for those dots.

I don't mind the killing of animals as long as none of its carcass goes to waste. If its meat is eaten and fur/skin is made into clothing, I honestly have no beef with that. But it's when animals are killed by cruel people who only wish to torture them for their own personal amusement that I almost vomit. These are the same people who later advance from killing animals and move on to killing humans.

That's a little bit sittin' on the fence there...

Does EVERYTHING have to be used? What if the fur is tossed but the meat is eaten? What if the body is there just for it's effect on other wildlife. Is it really that wrong to kill for sport? My cat kills purely for sport, never once has it eaten any creatures it killed. Here's the thing where it gets wrong to me, purposfully causing prolonged pain and enjoying the pain part.

Well, to some extent it irks me when parts go to waste, but it isn't enough to make me join a radical movement. I myself will never hunt for sport (I see no enjoyment in that), but I really don't mind if others do. I guess that does make me a fence sitter. That, or I'm just lazy. :)

the reason cats kill for sport is because in there previous lives there were humans , But blessed to be reincartnated as kittens.
If the PETA belived in reincarnation then we can argue that one of the chickens in one of those urine stained slaughter houses was once adulf hitler only condemned to die 100 times only to be a useless chicken wing at KFC.
