    He should just boost it up and then boost the sizes of fonts until it's acceptable though.

    Perhaps I wasn't clear. What I meant is he should boost his resolution up to one of the thousandish ones, and from there if the fonts aren't legible simply boost the size of the fonts until they are.

    HDTV... let's just say that it's about time that TVs started to catch up to computer monitors. They are so far behind in quality and resolution, and it's holding back things like game consoles... but HDTV does have the problem of being expensive. I doubt I'll have one anytime soon.

    HDTVs aren't really that expensive anymore. You can get a decent one for less than $500 at Best Buy.

    Still quite a bit more than normal ones... and there's the fact that you have to replace your current TV. I mean, we have TVs at home... if it broke that's another story, but if it's not broken? Doesn't seem like it would be worth it unless you had a lot of money to burn.
