Disgruntled Democrats came up with that second one. Here's another (not nearly as funny) one:

The problem with those maps, as ABF could also tell you considering he read the same math graph error I did I think, is as follows.

Basically, considering how close the actual election was, that graph "couldn't be right", except it is because it doesn't convey population density. A lot of those blue areas have populations in the bamillions. On the other hand, most of the red zones are devoid of life, and as such, human brains. One could very easily come up with a political insult against republicans. I won't, because this is a solemn occasion... well not really but you know.

    "READER CHRIS WREN EMAILS:
There were a few things that convinced me that yes, there really is such a thing as the monolithic Main Stream Media, and that they really are biased to the point of unprofessionalism: Dan Rather's petulant rant blaming bloggers for exit poll confusion, the haste which the networks and major media outlets leapt at calling the election for Kerry, and finally that whole thing Drudge is posting right now with the CNN Bush images labelled a**hole.jpeg and moron.jpg.

On the whole, I have to concede that the blogosphere conducted itself with far greater professionalism and integrity than the media giants.
Yes, I had seen the photo story earlier on Wizbang. And, yes, it does raise the question: If they're willing to do something this petty and spiteful where they think no one will notice, what other things are they doing where they think no one will notice?"

Democrats win in the cities and Republicans win in the country.

Can normal users not truly delete things? Is that why they always have the normal-delete posts which admins can see?

No, normal users do have permission to delete their posts, and fully. Smoke just hasn't checked that one check box to let him do that.... ever...

A lot of users don't seem to have realized that you have to check the other option to actually delete your post and it's still fully visible (to mods/admins) with the default option...

I was not aware you had to check anything as I can't see deleted posts. Why even have two different ways to delete your posts?

One way lets it be restored, and apparently only we admins can see them that way.

    The other removes it completely.

Right, with the default option we see a thing on the forum saying "X deleted their post" with a button you can click to see the "deleted" message, so the post is still there really...
