Yeah, as in this game is the balls. I'll probably buy it in June so I'll have something to play while I'm working at summer camp this year. I'd buy it now, but I'm trying to finish as many home console games as I can before camp starts. So far I've knocked off KOTOR II and Devil May Cry.

    Fire Emblem...yum.

From what I've seen and heard, the game upgrades llttle from it's predecessor and used the same engine, graphics, sound effects. Aside from a few tweaks, it's the same game with a new story and new characters.

And I don't know about you, but that's just fine with me :)

Yes, quite definitely. Fire Emblem looks great... it doesn't really need much improvement, so why try? :) I wouldn't really consider that a negative here...

Has anyone played any of the previous Fire Emblem games through an emulator? I've been meaning to play them, but I've never gotten around to it.

No... it'd need to be translated, though. Fire Emblem without the story parts would be pointless...

The Fire Emblem games are all translated into English from what I understand. I haven't gone out looking for them, but when writing my history of Fire Emblem I found a lot of people who had played them in English.

Those fan translation projects came out well after I've played them through in Japanese with a bit of guess work.

Yeah, I see translation patches for FE Gaiden (NES) and FE3-6 (SNES) on Zophar.net.
