Well, since some of our members have been complaining that most of our posts here at Tendocity consist mainly of a single smillie or "..." I felt that it necessary for a thread to be made wherein all of us can come together and play the Post Something Relevant Game! The object is to post something relevant, or at least connected, to what the previous poster talked about. What you post can be a news article, an editorial, a spreadsheat, a list, or something you made up. Just make it relevant!!

    Example:

Poster 1: Apples are a type of fruit.

Poster 2: Orange harvests in Florida have been down because of the huricanes.

Poster 3: There are many tornados in Oklahoma.

Apple, Fruit - Orange, Fruit : Huricane, storm - Tornados, storm

See? It's so easy! I'll start out:

A marketing campaign to portray Fayetteville as America's most patriotic city suggests daily parades, tax breaks for flag-wavers and requiring all restaurants to serve apple pie.

    That's...kind of sad.

"I just reached over and bit as hard as I could at the nape of her neck and she just went, 'Yip!' I never thought I'd be biting a dog."

-73-year-old Margaret Hat-grove of Tallahassee, Florida, on how she got an attacking pit bull to release her Scottish terrier

"The beavers have more rights than I do."

Hewlett-Packard Labs found that the most popular bloggers tend not to be the ones coming up with new ideas. Instead, they tend to be good copiers of relatively influential, yet unknown, other bloggers. They also tend to be poor at attributing "their" ideas. In the course of the study, the researchers developed a complex algorithm for tracking the origin of ideas through the web - a technology that may prove useful in improving relevancy of search results.

It makes an odd sort of sense though.

PALO ALTO, Calif., Feb. 16, 2005 — HP today reported financial results for its first fiscal quarter ended Jan. 31, 2005. First quarter revenue increased 10% year-over-year to $21.5 billion.
