It might not be the best thing if you're just playing against the AI, but I can see how it would make the game much more challenging and fun if you're playing against other people. It puts everyone on a level playing field.

Yeah, it probably is more fun for people who are no good. I'm sure I've played racing games with rubber-band AI for the player racers too... it's much better when it's an option you can turn off, however (sometimes it is). If everyone racing is decent it seems like it'd be more fun to play without AI help...

But it also means that if you aren't very good or mess up really bad that you aren't that far behind, which means that even if you're in the lead you won't be able to relax.

And to think that ABF was complaining about Wario Ware being too unbalanced, yet he's against something like this.

I said it's okay as an option, but not okay as something you can't change...

And that's because I've played a lot of, and really like, arcadish racing games, so I usually don't need the help... :)
