Nintendojo is reporting that uh... Game Informer is reporting that Nintendo and Konami may do a quick port of MGS2 (hopefully Substance) for release alongside of Twin Snakes. That would be good news for GC-only owners, but I just hope that they sell it for a reasonable price and not charge $40 for a straight port like Capcom did with RE's 2 & 3.

Maybe they could bundle it with Twin Snakes, or include it as a preorder gift. That would be nice of them.

I wouldn't find anything wrong with them selling MGS2 for full price, it's a current generation game, especially if it's Substance since the PS2 and X-Box versions are still nearly full price

And they're already way too much. Konami was very stupid for selling a simple remix of MGS2 for full price when the regular version only costs $20. They should have done what Sega did with VF4 Evolution and sell it as a GH title from the start. Greedy bastards.

Whod'a thunk it Darunia? Pretty much everyone. All three were also on SNES after all.

Well, none of those three were big supporters of Nintendo 64, especially Square. I believe that was the point the big Goron was trying to make. Although things aren't that great for Nintendo right now, I think they are in a better situation than they were for the last 2 years of N64. They are at least getting support from the big third parties.

That would be cool if they bundled the two together, thus giving more people incentive to buy it, and thus giving Konami incentive to release more cool games on the GC, and thus giving us more reason to be happy, and so on.

Looks like MGS2 on the GC is a no-go.

Quote:Silicon Knights clarified that they do not have any plans to port Metal Gear Solid 2 to GameCube, the rumor about a GameCube port of Metal Gear Solid 2 in November is untrue.

Wait it says that Silicon Knights has no plans to port the game over, and I never expected them to. Konami themselves (or one of their American studios) could probably do a quick port of Substance.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect SK to do it, so the rumor's not all dead yet. :)
