Talking about DK64 with made me think about the registration dates that we have under our avatars. I came to this place just a few weeks after it was created (back when it was the official Nintendojo board) and I thought that it was in August or September of 1999, but I could have sworn that I was in Croatia when I first joined the board, which would mean that the real birthday of TC was around August or September of 1998. Dk 64 came out in November 1999, and I'm pretty certain that I was at TC for more than just a few months before that game came out. Do I have my dates completely screwed up or did TC really come about in 1998? I think it's 1999, but so many things don't make any sense.

It certainly was in 1999. It certainly was just before the release of DK64. I myself also came here just a few weeks after the board came into being, but I so remember that being in October for some reason, and I remember you showing up after or at least the same time as myself. I'm fairly certain one of us or both of us are confused. lazy was here before both of us, and Laser Link is likely the oldest member here, being "here" before the message board existed for Nintendojo and it was basically communication via a mailing system posted up on some page. As such, we should ask either of them for info of our arrival dates.

It was definitely 1999. Nintendojo was the first Nintendo website I went to regularly and I didn't go there until '99. I signed up as soon as Nintendojo posted the link to TC.

Ok, I just got my dates wrong. I came here just a few short weeks (or days, I don't remember) after the forum went up, DJ, so I was definitely here when you were.

Mine is off by a few days. I'm pretty sure that my actual date used to be the same day that Fittisize signed up... but if his is still accurate is another question. :)

But yes, it was definitely 1999.

I discovered Tendo City sometime in early October 1999. The first computer my family ever owned was bought in spring of 1999, and it was at this time I really got to know the internet. Previously, I had only been able to go on the internet at school. Anyway, I discovered Nintendojo in fall of 1999, and they had a link to Tendo Box's message board thing. I actually think I clicked the link by mistake, but the N64 logo with flaps on top (like a cardboard box) was so inviting I decided to click it. I then stumbled across Tendo City and the rest is history! :)

Moondance (whatever happened to him?) found Tendo City through Nintendojo as well.

I think I remember you showing up, so I guess my join date must be off. I must have joined earlier...

Yes, I arrived from Nintendojo also. I'd been going to their GB Dojo hosted site's forums since early summer '99 (the first forum I posted at more than a few times...), and after I got my N64 that September I eventually started to get into the N64 part of the site too... and signed up at TC in early December. I probably read it for a little while before that, though... not sure about that.

Nuts, I haven't the slightest idea... In fact, I had forgotten it to the degree that I mistakenly thought you were always geoboy...

Yeah, to confirm what everyone else said, it was September 99. I remember seeing it come up in September, but I didn't sign up because I was leaving the country for a month. When I finally did sign up it was in fact on DK day, so that's how I know when I signed up. :)

    Hmm... *thinking*

Ya know what, I do have a vague memory of you arriving after me. I guess I kinda forgot that after you told me the history of the place. Now it's all making sense.
