OH THANK YOU GOD! After months and months of worrying about whether or not Shenmue III would actually get made, Sega confirmed today that Shenny 3 is indeed in development for an unspecified platform. There will be some more solid info in September.

That's right, Sega is planning on continuing the story of Shenmue.

Fans have been begging Sega-AM2 to continue the story of Shenmue. The original Shenmue for the Dreamcast captured a fanbase immediately. Sega continued the series on the Xbox, which attracted newcomers and old Shenmue followers alike.

At the beginning of the year Sega had mentioned that they were not sure what direction the Shenmue series would take. There had been speculation that Sega-AM2 would actually just release a DVD movie to continue and finalize the Shenmue story for the fans. That option has been put on the back burner.

Today it was announced that Sega-AM2 is developing a third installment in the Shenmue series. Although no details regarding the storyline, platform or release date have been announced, the game is said to be in development. Sega has stated that they will reveal more details regarding this game in September.

I WAS going to blow up my minor beefs with whatever you would post into major beefs, but with this it's just too easy and too dangerous...

So instead of blowing up my minor issues into huge issues to make you mad as per usual, I'll be sure to reiterate they are MINOR issues and I do enjoy my romps through these games.

I hope the item related puzzles are MUCH harder with LOTS of red heirings! I also hope that human interaction is expanded upon.

Oh and, as you already know, if you decide to actually state I'm an idiot or something for having these problems with the game, then I will be forced to turn minor issues neither of us care about (or shouldn't really care about) into major issues for comic relief. Well, not that funny really, except to GR, and me, but I'm an idiot, and GR's humor organ is, well, not large, but VERY dense!

    What does that mean...?

If Sega was smart they'd put Shenmue 3 on the PS2, but sadly they're more likely to follow the smell of MS's money. It'll never be on the GC; for some reason they think that their games don't sell well on the GC because people won't buy their sports games, despite the fact that Super Monkey Ball 1-2 and Sonic Adventure 2 sold a huge amount.

Yeah the games have some flaws, but I still love them for what they are rather than for what they are not. I love the story, the immersion, and the fighting bits. It's one of those games that, no matter how much criticism they get, you still love them because they just 'click' with you for some reason.

Well I wouldn't say love, in fact I've only played them once and have yet to play through either one again, but "like" is a nice term I'd use.

No wait, what am I doing? No, bad words, shut up DJ! Shut UP! *locks self out of thread and swallows key*

Haha, exactly. It's grammatically incorrect to use the word "you" in a general sense. The correct word, if you want a quick easy replacement type answer (though it's best just to rewrite it) is "one".

Me: Boy, I've got a really bad headache. It's just one of those days where you wish you could pee in a squirrel, yunno?

    GR: I don't wish that.

Me: No I meant "you" as in "me".

    GR: Wha?

    Me: It's... never mind.

    GR: Wha?

    Me: Just forget about it.

    GR: Who?

    Me: Who what?

    GR: What?

Me: What are you talking about?

    GR: ...

    Me: ...

GR: You peed on a squirrel?

Yeah thanks, Dr. Grammarian. It's also not correct to say "a box of Legos", but nobody cares. It doesn't sound right.

I said that it's "one of those games" where you just love it because it "clicks" with you. I didn't say that Shenmue is loved by all.

Oh I'm no Dr. In fact, I'd go as far as to say I likely made some sort of grammatical error in my correction, though I can't see any at the moment... English SUCKS!

Nah, "you" may only be used in a very specific way. And saying "you" meaning "me" is horribly incorrect. However, there are some very psychological undertones to that bit of incorrect grammar... After all, why would one say a word that's longer and bad grammar like that, unless of course one wanted to give the illusion that their opinion was the popular one :D.

Well, you have to admit that was a funny way to interpret it. Do NOT assume I'm actually trying to get into your mind and get offended okay OB1?

That's not true. Saying something like "I hate this, but what are you gonna do?" isn't incorrect, and if it is then who cares since people say stuff like that all of the time. And yes I know that starting a sentence with "but" is incorrect, but I don't care. But. But but but but.

In that case, "you" is actually reffering to someone! One actually would be asking about, well all of humanity, specifically! It's when you do stuff like give a list of instructions like "first you put on the shirt" that it's wrong. How would you know that that's what they first do?

What? That made no sense! "You" can mean "me" in certain contexts. Like "Tarnation! Would ya look at that there farbadally! Makes you want to get a burger!".

Um, yes. People say things like that all of the time. When someone says "Makes you want to eat salad", they don't mean "It will make you want to eat a salad! You, over there! Yeah you, I'm talking to you!". It kinda means "me" in that context. Well not exactly, but it doesn't actually mean "you, specifically". I really don't have to explain this simple concept to you, do I?

Exactly, and in those exact cases, it's incorrect :D!

No need to debate it. It's grammatical fact! I'm not trying to change you. Again, this started out as a stupid grammatical correction of a joke, and you "wanna make something of it". Apparently "i'm talking ta you" and "How am I funny" you say to me "like a clown?". Well I'm here to say don't worry about it! I know most people don't say it like that. I'm tossing it out as a fun fact I am.

It doesn't matter if it is grammatically correct or not(which you have yet to prove, btw), because people say it all of the time. And why do they say it? Because it sounds right! Which brings me right bag to me Lego example. The correct way of saying "a box of Lego's" is "a box of Lego", but no one says it that way because it sounds stupid!
