    From GAF:

Quote:We've gotten our hands on the very first images of Nintendo's upcoming Game Boy Advance adventure, Metroid: Zero Mission. Though it hasn't been confirmed at this point, the game looks a lot like the original Metroid with updated graphics. Enjoy, we'll have more shortly.

Awesome! A Metroid 1 remake! Not as good as a whole-new game, but what did you expect in one year?

    I can't wait!

I meant to write "Zero Mission". Zero Hour is that N64 Duke Nukem game.

There's nothing wrong with a remake of a great games, espcially when that game is really old.

Okay, so we've had 5239720 Mario remakes, we've had a bunch of Resident Evil remakes, we've had MGS remakes, we've had Metroid remakes. Where is my Zelda 1 or 2 remake? Hello?

    Still, this is great.

They should just port over BS Zelda to the GBA. Or at least use that engine, since I believe that BS Zelda was a remix of Zelda 1.

Woah, Metroid has gone cartoony! I'll be fine with this as long as the next game goes back to normal.

Never mind. That video is obviously very old as the screens above don't look nearly as cartoony, which is a big relief. The screens above look an awful lot like Super Metroid, just slightly more cartoony.

Interesting... Now then, for those of you like OB1 who aren't quite sure why one would first complain of a straight port, then complain of the game being altered, allow me to explain. We want both the original unaltered game AND the new updated one in the same cartridge. That way, you have the best of both worlds right there!

Oh, and OB1, BS Zelda, from what I understand, had many gameplay changes. In fact, the overworld map is half the size of the original game there. Nintendo can do better than that. A DECENT remake of Zelda 1 is in order, followed by a great remake of Adventure of Link. As I said, include the unaltered original game in both (sheesh, it's not TAHT hard a request, emulating NES games is easy on the hardware, and in fact they do it all the time, plus the space on the cart is VERY small, they have NO excuse for not including the unaltered original in all their remakes).

This game seems interesting. I had suspected a prequal with the "zero" thing going on.

I really don't care if they include straight ports of these old games. If they can add new stuff and improve things here and there, I'll be very happy! I would have been much happier with Mario World advance if they added more stuff to it.

So what, you're asking for them to include the original NES version of Mario 3 to Mario Advance 4? Why on earth would you want that? The updated graphics from All-Stars makes for a much better game. It would be a nice bonus to included the original version, though.

As for BS Zelda, I wasn't sure how faithful it was to the original Zelda, which is why I said that in case the differences are huge they could just use the same engine or something. It'd save time. I really hope that Capcom or somebody is working on a new GBA Zelda or a Zelda 1 remake. It really sucks that we're only getting Gamecube 2D Zeldas from them.Tetra's Trackers and Four Swords should be packaged together and sold as a single GBA game.

This new Metroid game is looking incredible. IGN has a new movie up and it looks a lot like Super Metroid but with much better (and slightly cartoonier) graphics as well as some moves from Metroid Fusion. I can't wait for this one. Hopefully it'll be out this year.

Upgraded graphics make it better? But the old ones are much better nostalgia-wise... I really liked how Mario Bros. Deluxe was so exactly like the NES games...

Of course the graphics make it better. The gameplay stays the same but it's a much greater pleasure to look at.

If you want nostalgia then you could always play your emulator.

Emulated games don't get the bonuses. Mario Bros. Deluxe was the perfect new version of a old game... too bad no other mario game has come anywhere near it in quality of changes and additions...

Emulated games don't get bonuses?? So are you saying that they should just forget about the All-Stars version of Mario 3 and instead use the original NES version but with all of the added bonuses of MA 4?? Why on earth would you prefer the version with the crappier graphics? It makes no sense. Hey I'm as nostalgic as anyone else but I'll always take the prettier version as long as the gameplay is unchanged.

No... I'd want BOTH, with bonuses. Mario Deluxe couldn't do SNES graphics, obviously, which is why its classic Mario... but GBA can do both so i'd love to see both styles... with Deluxe levels of extras! That's a MUST that they will not have, almost certainly. :(

So you want the NES and SNES versions of the games, both with the same extras? Why?

Personally I'm much rather see a decent multiplayer mode. I'm sick and tired of Nintendo using the same damn Mario Bros. multiplayer mode for each and every Mario Advance game!
