Shrek 4 was very mediocre, but Pixar shows every year that they're still great, and this one was no exception... Toy Story 3 is a very good movie by any standards. It really blew away my expectations... it's got both great action and a real, deep plot. Brilliantly done. I was sad at the end... :(

Yeah, I'd say that it's my favorite movie watched so far this year, although that's not saying much since I've passed up almost all of the big blockbusters this year. Inception will probably knock it off next week though.

Nobody died. There are ways of having real meaning and feeling in a story without killing off characters... Pixar understood that.

I'd say why the story was sad, but that'd be spoiling the plot, and it's really better off unspoiled, so I won't say anything.

Some asshole already spoiled it for me on another forum (and a small and basically unmoderated one). I'd still like to see it, though. I'm sure it doesn't matter, but I've never seen Toy Story 2. I wouldn't typically be interested in a 3D animated sequel (especially when most live-action sequels are lame), but Pixar is good enough that I'd watch anything they'd put out, even if it was just an old man dryly calling out Bingo numbers.
