Well I have to admit they've got some interesting concepts going in there. Escaped convict in Silent Hill who's "hell" is a nightmare prison, and the enemies all seem to be oppressive guards? Yeah I'll take that. It also seems to have incorporated a lot of stuff from Shattered Memories.

The main character's name is Murphy Pendleton. It's a reference to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

I guess that means we're gonna have nurses again!

So anyone play it? IGN was pretty underwhelmed.

I have not played it but from what I've been seeing from other fans, the general reaction has been cautiously positive.

...is it okay to say i'm more interested in the HD compilation? I want to play 6 but the SH games have both surprised me (positively) and disappointed me lately. I dont want epic, yunno? I want that feeling of apprehension back. The total unknown factor, not the interesting or cool factor. "Now the flipside is ice, now its a prison lol next up we'll do circus and then a dark world where you play as a rabbit". The flip should have stayed as 'Silent Hill' but the locations, characters, through line, puzzles, enemies, etc I dont care change all of that and make things more terrifying. But the personality of the alternate dimension should have stayed the rusted and blotted necromantical fantasia.
