Skip Ltd's self-proclaimed "Alternative RPG", Giftpia netted a Gold Award with an overall score of 35 (8,9,9,9). The reviewers said that though initial impressions showed the game was for children, it offered nice puzzle elements, great characters and a wonderful score. It's similar to Animal Crossing since players can dig, collect, and fish. In this unique RPG there are no experience points, and the theme is to "grow up".


Side Note: Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken gets a 34 (9,9,8,8) and and the reviewers praised the very friendly tutorial system. It stays true to the series and features great characters and scenarios.

Since Animal Crossing did so well I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo released Giftpia over here. As for Fire Emblem it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't, because so far none of the Fire Emblem games have made it out over here.

Stupid Nintendo should have released Fire Emblem over here a long time ago, but Nintendo has idiots who think like NA ("people die in these games, and it's serious!") so we may never get it.

Actually, N_A's conservative rationalization of killing in videogames is that if one is slaying evil, it's okay and acceptable.

So basically, I could declare an annoying professor to be evil and get a sword and impale his neck, and my intentions will be noble because I labelled him as evil and it's okay to see things in black and white, good and evil.
