Inner demons eh? Most people don't fantasize about murdering people, but for those who do, I guess this is a nice alternative.

ABF, I really don't think this is anything like Robot Chicken. For example, this is actually funny. If this was Robot Chicken, that would be Optimus Prime and... I dunno Cobra Commander, and they'd both be talking like gangster stereotypes, and that would be it. No jokes, just lines like "Beeooootch I just totally sank that boat in the hizooouuuuse, and also I'm Optimus Prime, making this funny without any actual effort".

The only parallel is they're both crude, but as you said, Robot Chicken is horribly unfunny.

Actually now that I think about it The Cloak is pretty much the exact same style as all those William Street cartoons like Aqua Teen and Sealab.

Yeah, definitely. Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen, Sealab... there are definitely bits of all of those in this, with a little bit of its own dark cynical black humor on top of that.

Also, I kind of like Robot Chicken... haven't watched it in a while (not having cable anymore) and it wasn't always funny, but it definitely was sometimes.

I just don't see any robot chicken in there, like at all. Don't put it in the list of William Street stuff, that's for sure.

Full confession, I've seen a few funny sketches on Robot Chicken. It's a lot more miss than hit though for me. The funniest is just by way of irony, it's that 300 guy saying "This. Isn't. Funny!" and then he kicks the TV. I find myself saying that in dramatic fasion sometimes now. So, if nothing else, they gave me that.
