    So you made a game for N64. The system died before you had the chance to release it. You start making games for the GBA and then after releasing some successful games for it, you say you're done with the system. Then announce a joint venture with Sega to make Bleach for DS. And now you want to release that game originally planned for N64 for an 'unknown system'. The game, as some of you might remember, is a 3-D shooter cross of Jet Force Gemini and Starfox where you play on-foot through arcade-styled 3-D levels 'on-rails'.

    ahem

    GEE, A SHOOTER WITH 3-D GRAPHICS WHERE YOU AIM THE RETICLE TO FIRE AT BAD GUYS

    THAT WAS MADE FOR THE N64

    THAT COULD BE PORTED TO DS RATHER EASILY

    AND TREASURE ANNOUNCED GAMES IN DEVELOPMENT FOR DS

    I WONDER WHAT SYSTEM IT'S GONNA BE ON?

    :D

    If it turns out to be on DS, it's going to be a must-have.

    You guys dont seem to understand, Treaure announced that they will be releasing S&P for the American / European markets. But they haven't announced what system it's going to be on.

    This is going to be a port of the original N64 game, not an update (from what I understand).

    If it's an an N64 port than I'd bet DS or PSP... but if it's a new title than it could be for anything of course.

    And yes, it should be released for Revolution as an N64 download in the US. It wouldn't take long at all to translate the little bit of text in the game, given that all the story scenes are already in english...

    I dont live in Japan, so to me the game was never released.

    I could import it, but I cant read Japanese. Nor do i have a modded N64.

    Taking these in to consideration, I cant have the game until it's released here. Thus I generate a tone of general discontentment awaiting the arrival of the game as I have anticipated this game since the old RC days.

    I say release it on DS with touch screen support AND put it on Revolution as a download game!

    You actually don't need to mod your N64 to play Japanese games on it. Simply take a knife a cut off the two protruding pieces of plastic near the bottom of the back of the cart, then insert it into the N64 and turn the power on. It's easy! Or you could just use a Gameshark and I've seen a converter as well. Plus, Sin and Punishment had English subtitles I think.

    But the game has minimal Japanese, all you need is a gamefaqs thing to translate the menus... and modding your n64 is just removing those corner things in the cartridge port. ... true, it hasn't been released here, but I'm just saying that as far as modding -- and imports -- go, Sin & Punishment on N64 is about as easy as it gets. The main problem is the price of finding it, given that you have to go to ebay...

    Can you cut those things out without opening up your N64, or do you need the special screwdriver and all that...

    The SNES is even easier, right? I think you just need to remove the two small tabs on the back... do you need the two narrow indentations on the front of the slot too? If you do then it'd be at least as hard as the N64, but if it's just the back ones then it'd be simple.

    I'm old fashioned. If the game is in a different language and requires me to 'break' something in order to play it, then i'm not interested. I could have gotten the Japanese version of PN03 but I decided to wait and get the US one. Why? Dunno... i'm goofey. :D

    You don't need to do anything to N64, just the cart. It has two plastic prostrutions that you cut off. Or you can just use a Gameshark.

    Yeah, and SNES too (for European games, unless you have a European setup, you need the gameshark), I've heard, but that costs money... potentially damaging your system or game is free. :D
