Dick Tracy would deduce Superman power is derived from the Sun. SSJ4 Goku could destroy the Sun, thereby nuetralizing Superman's source of energy. I don't think Superman is fast enough to keep up with Goku. This fight isn't evenly matched. Goku hands down.

But Dragonball is really stupid... does that affect the contest in any way? :)

It would, except Superman is really stupid, especially "precrisis" (which I take to mean superman before people stopped buying comic books, the only real crisis I can think of), so it evens out.

But anyway, and I can't believe I know this, but what about SS4 Gogeta, that ridiculous fusion of Vegeta and Goku?

Also, isn't Amazo the android stronger than Super Man? I mean, he copied all of Superman's abilities, as well as every single creature in the universe, and not only that, analyzed and compensated for the weaknesses of everything he copied. He's also golden, so he's got that going for him (meaning aside from just being stronger than GL's energy, he's also immune to it).

Also, is it just me or does that restaurant in the Justice League space place feel like 10-Forward from Star Trek TNG?

Pre-Crisis refers to the Crisis on Infinite Earths. This is where DC comics attempted to clean up all continuity issues and inconsistancies within the DC Universe. Pre-Crisis Superman was this untouchable godlike character who could move planets and had a near endless supply of "super" powers such as superhypnosis and superventriloquism. After Crisis on Infinite Earths DC comics sought to make Supes more human by dumbing down his powers, and beefing up his weaknesses. Post-Crisis Supes eventually died.

Although SSJ4 Gogeta is without a doubt the most powerful fighter in any Universe, he would probably mess around too much until his fusion wore off, leaving either Goku or Vegeta to fight Superman.

Then they could just get those odd earrings and keep that fusion lasting forever...s

Wait, so pre crisis is back when Superman comics were drawn like... um, sunday comics? Where there was like no seriousness and comics were hard to take seriously in any form? If that's the case why don't we just include Looney Toons in this battle? Their super powers seem about as realistically drawn as anything. Would either one be able to survive a single stick of that martian weaponry, the t-37 explosive space modulator?

Steve-o is Lion-o's older cousin. Unambitious but lovable, he was always the sort of guy interrupt your every word to ask exactly why Lion-o didn't like partying.

Any team with a DB/DBZ/DBGT character would automatically win because the characters are ridiculously overpowered. As much as Goku sucks (along with the rest of the DB universe), he could kick anyone's ass with little effort.

If you want to start going through fantasy book characters, how about Richard from the Sword of Truth books... sure they aren't as good as WoT, but it has the advantage of seeming to be freeform (that is, made up as it goes along), instead of the preplanned feel of WoT, so Richard would win. ... if he had the sword.

Not unless we use it in a manner with which we stand to make a profit from it.

That's of course assuming he does own a copyright on the name.

Let him sue. All he could win from me is twelve bucks and a bag of chips, really. :P
