Quote:Lionhead's Peter Molyneux briefly mentioned Nintendo's Revolution controller at the recent Leipzig Gaming Conference, and was quoted as saying that: "There is a line at the end of the book 'Game Over' and it is: 'Never underestimate Nintendo'. That is all I can say about the controller".

It appears he has inside information we don't, or he has seen the controller for himself! More teasing anecdotes as we get them!

Oh, this is just getting ridiculous!

Well now I'm impressed. This guy is completely unrelated to Nintendo and he appears to be saying they did something not to be underestimated.

This could mean this is Nintendo's bid for world domination by putting nuclear weaponry in the hands of all the children of the world and finally going with an online plan so as to have control over these.

    Or...

    More likely...

    It's something amazinating.

Yeah, we've never known Molyneux to exaggerate so the controller must be awesome.</sarcasm>

Seriously, though, I am getting way too excited about the Revolution, and I know that's the wrong thing to do because it can never live up to the expectations I'm building for it.

Here's what I'm expecting. A system that does exactly what they said at E3, and a controller with some potentially innovative interface.

The controller will have "tits" and "ass" buttons that will comand the body parts from up to 30 feet away and it will work on any human women (and some primates).

He exagerates stuff sometimes, but mostly just his own games. And that's not because he tries to make it out to be something it's not, just that his ideas for his games are so impossible to actually do that the end product has to be cut down because it would take too long to actually make. Besides, we also have Yuji Naka's comments from the other day to go along with this.

Perhaps the parental metaphores weren't entirely appropriate.

I guess it's more like, his bankrupt half-brother and some schizophrenic hobo both say he's really got it going on.

It's kind of funny how we're getting more excited about the controller than the console, the games, and everything else.

    ...

JUST SHOW US THE DAMN CONTROLLER.

Just watch, after all of this suspense, Iwata will come out and say "Well, we were going to do something really cool, but it was too much trouble, so we've decided to keep using the GameCube controller for another generation."

Ryan, I like the avatar, but what does that nametag say?

That would be both the funniest and saddest thing to ever happen in the history of videogaming. I almost would like to see that happen just to watch the ensuing chaos that would overtake the internet.
