Super Princess Peach DS

Since most of the good gamesites are blocked at my work... I have to post this news from Spong:

Not content with today’s Sony-centric blanket online coverage, Nintendo has cleared its throat in front of Famitsu, to announce a brand new DS title. Joining other cast members from Mario’s extended family (Wario, Luigi etc), Princess Peach is the latest character to get her own touch-screen enabled outing. Alas details are pretty scant on the ground at the moment, without even an indication of when it’s due for release.

What we do know, however, is that Super Princess Peach will be a 2D scrolling action game (featuring Princess Peach). She will also be armed with an umbrella with which to attack oncoming enemies. Putting two and two together, we can comfortably suggest that the player will use the stylus to swipe, stab and control the umbrella.

More DS news will surely follow.

You're right, that would probably be the top, wouldn't it? Though it COULD be the bottom, I can't be sure... but yeah, probably on top because having action and hand over action drawing on screen doesn't work that well. :)

Oh, is he posting screen shots from this game or something? No biggy, I've seen enough to get a feeling for the game. Looks interesting, like Super Mario Bros. 2 (as you said) only, with just one character... The art style reminds me of Mario & Luigi.

Meh? It doesn't look anything like M&L. The character designs are classic Mario 2-style, and the environments look like richer, more textured versions of Mario 2 (all-stars version).

Yeah, it's classic Mario, not M&L artwork, definitely. With a style clearly copied from Mario 2...

I see that even though the DS does N64-level 3d it is getting a good number of 2d games from Nintendo at least -- this, the Kirby game, the Yoshi game... interesting. I was kind of expecting a big dropoff (not complete, given Nintendo, but large) in such things, even from Nintendo... nice to see it's not happening yet.

Game-specific shops rarely get old games that are rare, but when they do they charge a lot. Pawn shops on the other hand sell all old games for about the same price regardless of rarity. They'd sell Panzer Dragoon Saga for like $10 or less if someone ever sold them a copy.

That's what I was wondering too. Do you play the game as like an octoroc or something? Or do you play as a mutated Link who is suffering from the adverse effects of using the Triforce too many times, because I here that junk can really mess you up.

ummmmmm...sure, you can be the tentacle monster, if you want.

i'd say you could pick one of several body types at the beginning of the game and that would determine the type of sex you could have with her, though it would all be really raunchy and involve bondage cuz that stuff is the shizzy.

and once you've had you're way with peach you'd think the game would be over...but that's just the beginning. then you could move onto level 2, which would star Daisy, then you could move on to other nintendo characters like Impa, Saria, Ruto, Birdo, Zelda, Samus, and so on.

you should also be able to level up based on your...performance. and you should be able to evolve new appendages and whatnot and learn new skills.

Well you know, the DS does lend itself to games like that! I'm pretty sure Yamauchi had hardcore Peach tentacle sex in mind when he supposedly came up with the idea for the DS.

In fact, I bet he already had Miyamoto make that particular game just for him.
