Wow... after all this time I thought it was dead... wonder what games other than Animal Crossing will use it...

Hmm, nice to know. Let's hope that this card is able to eliminate the 128 file limit (which is STUPID, a decent file system limits the number files only to the smallest unit of space (kilobyte, block...) so if you had a 128 block card you could save 128 1 block files) which admittedly, so far hasn't really been a problem.

It's finally got a release date.

The cards will also allow you to email game data to people. The first game to take advantage of this will be the online version of Animal Crossing. The game will allow you to email game data and pictures taken in the game. The price of the adaptor hasn't been announced yet, but the cards come in different sizes and have dropped in price dramatically since the adaptor was first revealed. It's too bad that games have to be specially designed to use it. That means 0 third party support. But I can't really sat that there are ever any third party games worth getting, so it's no big loss. :)
