    Maybe YOU didn't.

Ya know we never did come up with a name for the last decade...

The 2000-aughts? What do we call the first decade of the 20th century? The 19-aughts, I guess?

But yeah, I like twenty-ten for the name of the year. 1066 is referred to as "ten sixty-six" as opposed to "one thousand sixty-six." I was born in nineteen eighty-six, not one thousand nine hundred and eighty-six. (Though in Spanish, I have to refer to the year as mil novecientos ochenta y seis. LAME.)

Happy New Decade to all! (I consider this the beginning of the new decade. Who's to say there's no year 0? I like to say that there is so that our decades/centuries/millennia can span from years ending in 0 to 9 instead of from 1 to 0. 1900-1999 for the twentieth century just looks better than 1901-2000.)

"The Zeros" works well for the past decade, given the Bush years and all.

    HEY-OOOO!

I hereby declare that the last decade be referred to as the year of the raging inbred faggot down syndrome devolution of humanity that was reduced to i-phone wielding, uptight, twittering and emotionless Dr. Phil loving Freemasons who abuse apathy like its a fucking fad and constructed a slow death of Hollywood and forced Nintendo to become the weight loss management machine for confused and shallow oxygen thieves who elected an epitome of classic Americana and old school war=money mentality and then ashamed of their delusions, elected the exact opposite in the hope of fixing all the shit we broke like a premature and barely educated manager of a dying corporation in a last ditch effort.

Of course, the "Zeros" has a nicer ring to it.

^Wow, that first paragraph was all one sentence! You're a regular William Faulkner!

We could also refer to the last decade as the Ohs. After all, each year was referred to as Oh One, Oh Two, Oh Three, etc. Some people are calling the current year "Two Oh Ten." Nah... I prefer Twenty Ten. :)

A look back at Oh Nine and all the fun times we had:
