Hehe are you just sore because I so completely annihilated you in the other thread wherein you didn't understand me but everyone else did?

Dude, you're actually asking for some continuity in Zelda? They tried so hard, yet you're still not satisfied!

Yeah, the Zelda series never exactly has been a game with a great, deep, and clearly connected storyline... and WW did try harder than most any Zelda game before it. They finally admitted that there is more than one Link!

Anyway, a lot happened in over 100 years...

Those are interesting theories, but I don't know if Nintendo puts as much thought into it as you do. One can only hope.

And two temples had to be scrapped because of time constraints. Remember that WW was made in two years, compared to OoT's three or four. Most of that is due to the N64 being much more difficult to develop for and OoT being the first 3D Zelda where they had to reinvent everything, but still. I'm certainly happy about the frequency of Zelda releases in recent years. We've gotten four new Zelda games in just four years, which is quite an amazing feat. Especially considering the quality of them (although they weren't done by the same team... but does it matter).

Hmm, maybe they should have left this game in development for a few more years, THEN we would have dungeons for all the sagesa AND the 3rd pearl.

Yes the gameplay rocked, but it wasn't enough to satisfy me. They left me wanting more, and unlike comedy, that's a BAD thing when it comes to games.

Yeah, great idea. Encourage the delays. :woo:

You say that the gameplay rocked but that it wasn't satisfying. You can't compare this to something like Xenogears because RPGs get their length from hours and hours of story rather than raw gameplay. Zelda has never been over 20 hours long. At least not for me.

But whatever, I'll enjoy it and you can feel dissatisfied.

Well if delaying it would have gotten us a full length Zelda game, I say go ahead...

*sigh*

It is a full-lengthed Zelda game. It just doesn't have as many dungeons as OoT, but it is as long as that game. Things get cut from games all of the time, and if developers were to include everything that they wanted to then they would be in development for decades.

Well Zelda games are supposed to have 8 dungeons... :)

Though probably making the ones they had more challenging would have worked too...

Geez, the argument didn't even start. Such a little 'fraidy cat.

:shake:

Quote:Well Zelda games are supposed to have 8 dungeons...

MM had four, and it was still good. And yes I know that you didn't like it blah blah blah. I don't care!

Quote:Though probably making the ones they had more challenging would have worked too...

Do you have the game yet? Only a few (stupid :p ) people here have called the puzzles easy, but others such as DJ and myself found them to be at least as difficult as the ones in OoT. None of the 3D Zeldas have been terribly difficult for me, though. At least not as much as the 2D ones.

I doubt it'd be as easy for me as for some people here, since it never is, but still... its Zelda so it should be hard!

Oh, and MM had LOTS of sidequests to make up for its lack of dungeons... this doesn't...

MM: Four dungeons and lots of sidequests.

Oot: Eight dungeons and very few sidequests:

WW: The best of both worlds. More dungeons than MM but less than OoT; more (many more) sidequests than OoT but less than MM.

I like that fit.

i liked MM more than WW. it had fewer dungeons, and more sidequests, yes, but the world was so much more interesting. wind waker's seems almost more sterile than OoT's since most of it is water. ah well, that's just me.

Actually, I only thought the puzzles were plenty hard BEFORE I realized that I was playing the last two dungeons. Afterwards, I realized that for their place in the game, they were too easy and too short.

Okay, I quit reading on about page 5, because neither side was changing their argument, and OB1 made an ass out of himself.

DJ put it best when he said that different puzzles are more challengind for different people, but poor little N_A refuses to believe that other people didn't find MM to be as long or exciting as Wind Waker.

I found WW to be just as difficult as OoT and MM.

So, OB1 says that N_A sucks at MM, yet he is the only one claiming that Wind Waker had better labyrinths than MM. So, answer me this OB1: If you are the only one thinking WW had better/harder labyrinths, then could it be possible that you suck at WW, while everyone else found it pathetically, and boringly easy???

So we're supposed to be changing our argument that we had different experiences with WW? Good one, Mr. Devil. Rolleyes

Ah, my simple-minded little friend, I never said that I found WW to be particularly difficult; I merely stated that I didn't find it any easier than MM or OoT. Big difference. All three 3D Zelda games have been fairly easy for me to beat, but I still enjoyed them immensly. Greater difficulty would have been better, but they're still great.

Quote:Actually, I only thought the puzzles were plenty hard BEFORE I realized that I was playing the last two dungeons. Afterwards, I realized that for their place in the game, they were too easy and too short.

Wow, now this has got to be the greatest turnaround I've ever witnessed. This is what you said a few pages ago:

Quote:When it comes to puzzles, sometimes it's a matter of what your mind is best lent towards. Different people are better with certain puzzles than others. I myself found Master Quest and , now that I think about it, OOT in general to have very easy puzzles, but lazy for instance did not. On the other hand, I have been getting stumped very often in WW. Now it may be that Wind Waker is just harder, but seeing as how others here have been stumped by OOT/MQ but found WW easier, I think the more logical explanation is just the difference in puzzle solving abilities between people. Wind Waker's puzzles are indeed quite tough if you ask me, but then again, the monsters are very easy... Fortunatly, that's okay, as I know many a person who enjoys just some relaxing brain stumpers rather than having to be concerned about combat all the time. To be honest, I'd like to see some new games that don't emphasize quick button action like fighting and such, and in fact might not even have any battles or quick action events at all, and are just puzzle fests where you can take your sweet time. I enjoy those kinds of games every now and then.

So it goes from you've been getting stumped by the puzzles very often in WW and thinking that the puzzles in OoT are be easy, to saying that WW is a really easy game, even easier than OoT?
Confused You couldn't have been very far in the game when you wrote that, so you had to have been stumped in the earlier dungeons. Did you just all of the sudden feel like jumping on the "WW suX0RS" bandwagon or something? Did you just lie about being stumped back then? Was it a different person?

*is confused*

Now OB1, before you start calling me a simpleton, learn how to both correctly read what is written, and correctly infer meaning of what you've read.

When you attack N_A for taking longer than you did at beating MM, and at the same time claiming that the labyrinths are better in WW than they are in MM, yet people are beating the game in less time than they took in MM (except for you).....

What are we to infer from that, my simple-minded friend?

I never attacked NA for taking longer to beat MM. I simply stated that it took me longer to beat WW than MM (straight through); that's it. You seem to be drawing a whole different meaning from this. You're like Darunia.

And DJ, come off it. The game is not short for a Zelda game. Where it lacks in dungeons it makes up for it in sidequests (did you finish all of them, BTW?). And those were not mini-dungeons. I don't know what's so wrong with there being a few little parts where all you did was fight. It took up 5% of the entire game.

But whatever. Like I said, it's only your loss.

I never was trying to convince you of this you know. On the other hand you seem to be very mad that anyone dare find a problem with this game. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to "come off of". Did I do something to offend you? I don't want to change your mind on this, don't try to change mine.

Any reason I should?

Remember, I don't like rock music that much... and the harder it gets the less interested in it I am...

Hey, I never said what kind of music it was, just that I've never heard of it.. hardly surprising given how little I know about '80s music...

So what, were you like born after the eighties? Obviously not, (unless ur 13), so you have no excuse not to know that song. It's not even rock. Go download it and thank OB1 & I.

the only good music to come out of the 80s was 80's punk rock.
