Okay, the original Gravis Gamepad was amazing. But while the Gravis Xterminator was pretty cool, it broke (power problems, it just stopped being recognized) after just a year or so after I got it in around 2000.

Anyway, now my Saitek p880 has had the same thing happen to it. Just in the past week or two, it failed... and now it just won't respond most of the time. :( :( It is several years old though, so it did pretty well...

This got me to want to see if the xterminator still worked at all. It doesn't even recognize. Anyway, this got me to want to try to open up my Gravis pad to see inside. Unfortunately, even with all the screws off, it won't open. Obviously sometime inside is glued togehter or something...

So the question is: Do my best to break it apart, and quite likely permanantly destroy it (when it comes apart I bet it will physically break...), or just leave it in its current non-working state, but don't take the thing apart?
