    A lot more Genesis games than I thought use EEPROM saving. I thought it was just NBA Jam (original version) and Mega Man: The Wily Wars (J/E only) that had EEPROMs in addition to Sonic 3's save chip, but that is not the case...

    Quote:Serial EEPROM:
    * EA - NHLPA '93 - 24C01 (mode 1)
    * EA - Rings of Power - 24C01 (mode 1)
    * NBA Jam - 24C02 (mode 2)
    * NFL Quarterback Club - 24C02 (mode 2)
    * 32X NFL Quarterback Club - 24C02 (mode 2)
    * NFL Quarterback Club '96 - 24C16 (mode 2)
    * Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball - 24C65 (mode 3)
    * College Slam - 24C65 (mode 3)
    * ??? Wonder Boy in Monster World - 24C01 ???
    * ??? 32X NBA Jam - 24C02 ???
    (I don't have the games with ??? to open up, but have reason to believe they use a 24Cxx)

    Parallel EEPROM:
    * Accolade - Barkley Shut Up and Jam 2 - 28C16
    * Accolade - Unnecessary Roughness '95 - 28C16

    These were all confirmed except for the two 32X games, which are unconfirmed. That seems to be a complete list of serial EEPROM Genesis games; I'm not sure if that's a complete list of Parallel EEPROM games, though... none others are mentioned, but perhaps parallel EEPROM games run in emulators as they are so people don't care about which games use that? Or perhaps only those two games had it... who knows. Very interesting. Sadly there doesn't seem to have been any progress on this in the last few months... no Genesis emulators can properly save in some of those games (savestates are always an option, of course). Gens can't save in the NBA Jam games, for instance. Kega can, as you'd expect (Kega was made by Steve Snake, the same guy who was the lead programmer of the 32X version of NBA Jam TE), but it has problems with other titles...

    Hearing that Wonder Boy in Monster World actually has EEPROM saving and I don't need to worry about that battery is really good news, though. I have that cartridge. :)
