    It was a 3D shooter developed by Treasure for the N64, but was never released in the US. Oh incidentally, I have this game now and it's pretty sweet, probably one of the best games of the N64's last years.

    I want it... it's a very good game, and I'd love to have the cart. There weren't many Japan-only N64 games, and even fewer are worth considering, but this (and perhaps Bangai-O, though that was also on DC (Japan-only) and was probably better there) is one of the few...

    The Dreamcast version of Bangai-O was released in the US. I have that too, by the way.

    You have to get it online, presumably through auction sites, though, right?

    From what I've heard that isn't as good a game to import because it's got a lot more untranslated Japanese... and the N64 version isn't as good graphically/frameratewise as the DC version is, of course.

    Where'd you get it, Grumbler? You recommended (inadvertently) Mistief Makers to me, and that's a sweet game.

    Mischief Makers has a US release though, and shows up in used game sections of stores sometimes, while Sin and Punishment is import-only... a great game, and import-friendly since all the story scenes are voiced in English (with Japanese subtitles), but import-only.

    It's a shooter. You shoot things. They blow up and/or die. :)

    It's also fairly short, yet difficult. Like most good shooters.

    Now that, I didn't know. I'd kinda prefer a shooter that's drawn-out and clever (replay value and what not), but it still sounds like a worthy addition to the ol' N64 collection.

    Okay, let me try this again. The Dreamcast version of Bangai-O was released over here IN ENGLISH. It's terribly botched English, but that's half the fun.

    In a PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED THREAD Treasure will be re-releasing S&P, though the console (or handheld most likely) that it will be released on was not mentioned. It's a pretty fair bet that it'll be on DS.

    I've heard alot of good reviews about it and shooters are a dying breed; there's only 5 on the market right now I can think of.

    If you're looking for an intense shooter that's long and dramatic with a great game design look for Einhander. It's a PS1 game and it's awesome. Plus, everyone speaks German in the game. In the game your ship (The Einhander, meaning 'One-handed') has a claw of sorts that holds the powerup, each powerup isnt just a difference in power but in use. Since it's a 2.5-D sidescrolling shooter, you'll often need weapons that attack in 3-D versus the straightforward ones. But then again, some enemies and bosses require more strategy and need specific weapons to go down quickly. There are special bonuses for finishing the level quickly and multiple branches in the levels. It's a great shooter.
