Oh yeah, there's a rumor from somewhere about Shenmue 3 on the X-Box 2. Don't know about this one though... or where it's really from...

Apparently Xbox 2 will be unveiled at the CES 2005, Just like Xbox was 3 years ago.

As most of you probably know CES is the world's largest Consumer electronics show, And rumours going round are that Shenmue 3, and Bungie's next game alongside Perfect Dark 0 will be shown in trailer form.

That word has reached several european media publications and that Shenmue 3 is set to be unveiled by non-other than Yu Suzuki himself in 11 days time on the first day of CES 2005. It will be part of the XBox 2 presentation.

Bungie says that they will take some time away from Halo in order to persue another project, many sources saying that this game will be Phoenix/Breach, a game Bungie planned but then cancelled, then supposedly on track again. It was supposedly going to be a medieval type of game with a fantasy twist in it, but Bungie denies that Phoenix is still on.

As recently as October 2004, Craig Mullins, the artist for Bungie games including Marathon, released these artworks on his website.

Well, I guess we better hope XBox 2 is successful enough to warrent Microsoft to make XBox 3, otherwise we might NEVER get to play Perfect Dark 0!

Bungie might not make Halo 3, it's not certain you know... I mean they will eventually, but it might not be their next game.

It's nice that Bungie put co-op into Halo and Halo 2. Unfortunately, they forgot to make the game worth playing enough for people to want to PLAY it in co-op... :D

That said, there are a lot of Halo... though I don't know why... I mean, Halo/Halo 2 isn't AWFUL, but it is definitely not deserving of the levels of praise that the games have recieved.

Microsoft has never commented on the possibility that Xbox 2 will appear at the show, and insiders at the company have told GamesIndustry.biz that anyone expecting to see Xbox 2 in Las Vegas this week would be making "a wasted trip".

The likely venue for more information about Xbox 2 to be announced now looks like being the Game Developers Conference - which we mention with a sense of deja vu, since an announcement Xbox 2 was expected there last year as well, but ultimately turned out to be the launch of the XNA development platform instead.

If it was basically concenstrated as a pc game, I bet Halo 2 would have been a exspansion add on and not a sequeil.

Yeah, probably an expansion. Possibly a 'stand-alone expansion', but a normal expansion is more likely... though a lot of sequels don't change much from the first ga,e. most popular PC games get expansions so Halo would have had one.
