AI appears to be caving in on itself... - Dark Jaguar - 24th October 2025 Amidst Meta's layoff of much of their AI team, people in droves begging MS to let them opt out of their new AI, and the overall rejection of AI art as "slop", we have EA apparently revealing they are spending more money fixing AI's mistakes than they thought they saved using it. https://www.thegamer.com/ea-generative-ai-game-development-prompt-chatbot-bad-mistakes-hallucinations/ Then there's AI writing, which is also very generic, and the complete unreliability of AI to answer any questions since... well it literally lacks any comprehension of what words mean. With all that said, it looks like AI really was just a flash in the pan, not the total sea change it was being sold as. In fact, it's apparently what's propping up the stock market while the rest of us certainly don't feel like we're in a strong economy. A market "correction" is ahead of us... RE: AI appears to be caving in on itself... - Weltall - 27th October 2025 Whatever it is, will be the inevitable consequence of abandoning our freedom and liberty for the comforts and decadence of sedentary agriculture. There's no chance that AI stops and goes away and people forget about it. One cannot correctly perceive the reality of this situation if they allow reactionary bias to poison their cognition. It would be much more beneficial and useful and practical to spend all this energy on figuring out how to use AI to assist us in addressing and solving the very real problems we are all dealing with. Anything else is wasting time and indulging emotions. Technology is neutral. Incredible good can be done with this technology, and there's no good reason not to utilize it to such ends. |
