Metal Gear Survive is charging you money for extra save slots... on your own hard drive. They're gating off your own hard drive and charging you admission to reach it.

I heard the game is selling save slots, but are they actually local? If so that's pretty unforgivable. Selling extra character slots is very common in online games, though; most MMOs and such have only so many character slots that come with the game, and you buy any more above that. Having only ONE slot in a mostly single player game and making players pay for any more than that one is pretty obnoxious, though, and it's a clear moneymaking scheme. So bad on Konami yet again, sure.

As for the game, it looks kind of boring and not that good.

It's not an MMO. It's a local game. If someone wants to play coop, they need to buy a "save slot".

Compare this to King's Quest. 1. AGI version. I can save as many files as my hard drive will hold, and I can name each file, and create directories and sub directories, on any device I have hooked up. Heck I even set up DOSBox to use my Dropbox folder as an extra drive, so I can save King's Quest 1 games to the frickin' cloud.

And yes, the game is boring and not that good from all accounts.
