Quote:ame Summary

In the hallways, labs and chambers of a shadowy compound, an unseen power is lurking. As a ghostly Spectral Operative, players must search for a physical body, which is mysteriously being kept alive somewhere in the enormous complex. Players won't always be alone though--as they explore, they must collect the energies of indigenous spirits to help unravel a mystery and build their own power. Some will help ... but beware, for not all the spirits are friendly. Prepare for a first-person adventure with a spectral twist!
Features

*

Explore the compound as a ghost, then possess more than a dozen unique character types using their weapons, equipment, skills, and even memories, to complete your goals. Possessions range from soldiers with guns to dog- and mouse-like creatures that can perform specialized physical tasks.
*

Choose different characters and see the world in different ways.
*

Travel through the human world virtually unseen, using your abilities to slip through cracks, interfere with electronics, move objects and more. Face challenges from two unique angles--as a possessed human or a lurking spirit hunting its prey.
*

Prepare for death matches with the dead in all-new multiplayer modes that combine first-person combat with unique ghost and possession mechanics.

Is this that fear game? Doesn't seem anything like we were led to believe. Looks good, though!

Looks like something Free Radical would do. Of course, that's a complete guess.

New Nintendo game: Geist!! - OB1 - 13th May 2003

It's being developed by N-Space, the guys who made those PSX third-person Duke Nukem games.

New Nintendo game: Geist!! - Great Rumbler - 13th May 2003

This is a third party games right? Or did you actually mean that it's a NINTENDO game?

Anyway, it looks like a pretty cool game. It kind of reminds me of that fps where you play as the cherub and take possesion of other people to progress through the game.

New Nintendo game: Geist!! - WhiteFleck - 13th May 2003

Messiah. And that game['s demo] rocked.

New Nintendo game: Geist!! - OB1 - 13th May 2003

Nintendo is publishing.

New Nintendo game: Geist!! - OB1 - 13th May 2003

Actually Nintendo is co-developing the project, and according to some sites this game is "Fear". Nothing like Gamepro made it out to be, but ah well.

New Nintendo game: Geist!! - A Black Falcon - 13th May 2003

Looks pretty good so far... but the developer's track record doesn't exactly exude confidence.

New Nintendo game: Geist!! - Sacred Jellybean - 13th May 2003

I can't see them. :(

when the login box pops up, leave all of the fields blank and click on "save password"

New Nintendo game: Geist!! - Sacred Jellybean - 13th May 2003

Thanks!

This doesn't look like the fear game... the fear game described a boy who is afraid of heights going through a level where he must face his fear. Granted, that isn't the whole game, and isn't verbatim to a part of the game, but this just looks like a standard shoot-em up. It doesn't look like what was described by whoever in that thread that OB1 started.

New Nintendo game: Geist!! - OB1 - 13th May 2003

It looks like Gamepro was wrong about it. That, or Nintendo is gonna show it at Spaceworld (if that's still on).

New Nintendo game: Geist!! - Great Rumbler - 13th May 2003

And wasn't Fear supposed to be a Miyamoto game?

New Nintendo game: Geist!! - OB1 - 13th May 2003

Yeah. Gamepro also got the whole Mario Adance 4 thing wrong as well. It's actually Mario 3.
