Who is your favorite director or film author?
(Mine's Stanely Kubrick or Ridley Scott)
Who's your favorite Screen Play writer?
(Mine's James Cameron or M. Night Shyamalan)
What's your favorite film?
(Mine's Alien, Night of the Living Dead or The Shining)
What's your favorite film's art direction and lighting?
(Mine's Blade Runner, Terminator 2 or Jurassic Park)
Who's your favorite film composer?
(Mine's John Williams, James Newton Howard or Alan Silvestri)
What is your favorite scene?
(Mine's from They Live, when the main character put on the glasses and saw the billboards, or from Star Man when the alien uses his technology to heal the animal strapped to the car.)
What is your favorite special effects scene?
(Mine's easily the Rex attack from Jurassic Park, bridging live-action animatronics and CGI. I also love the "Surgery" from The Terminator, a perfect example of puppetry and animatronics. Also, Harry from Harry and the Hendersons - Still considered some of the most advanced animatronics to date)
Who is your favorite character from a movie (or series of movies)?
(Mine's easily Darth Vader, though Lt. Ripley is a close 2nd followed by Short Circuit)
What is your favorite line of dialoge from a movie?
(Mine's Aliens: "Game over, man." Also Short Circuit: "No disassemble, Stephanie!" And from Star Man: "I watched you very closely, Jenny Hayden; Green is 'Go' - Red is 'Stop' - Yellow is 'Go very fast'. )
What is your favorite film poster?
(The European production release poster of The Shining which exclaimed "The terror that swept through America!" which you would think was talking about the film, however this poster was released while the film was in production. This gives another clue iof The Shining's hidden context of America's and Europe's Indian wars.)
BONUS QUESTION: Name the first movie to have a robot/cyborg character.
BONUS QUESTION 2: Name James Cameron's first feature length film.

Fritz Lang's (Director/writer) Metropolis (1927). Made in Germany, it was the first movie to show a woman built from a machine with skin, hair, eyes and emotions. The first man-made cyborg.
BONUS QUESTION 2: Name James Cameron's first feature length film.
Xenogenesis (1978) Written and Directed by James Cameron. His second movie is Piranha II: The Spawning (1981) as director only.

OB1/ Why do you like Akira Kurosawa over all of the European and American authors and directors? Kurosawa's films actually dont look that great in comparison to films of the same period from other parts of the world. I mean, at most, he's barely at the level of Spielberg and I wouldn't say he's that great either. He's a great DP and he knows how to light a scene but he really simply tells the story vividly without construction more on the basis of hidden context or the 'invisible parts' of the film.
