Bad news, that's for sure...

Anyone else think it's pretty ignorant to require a "gender" considering how confusing that can get in a small percentage of the population?

It's pretty sad. Up until now I had nothing but good things to say about Google +. My big question is what do they consider a "profile"? Is my e-mail all going to vanish or what?

I'm not sure either... I don't have a google email account though, I pretty much just have a Google account for Youtube. Maybe it's referring to that Google Profile thing the google accounts page lists? I don't have one.

As for gmail though, that is a good question and I'm wondering about that too, for people who have gmail accounts...

It looks like a google "profile" isn't a google "account". The "profile" is the social part, and I don't have one. So, it's not so bad as all that then.

I just got a beta invite on Google+ which only allows beta testers in your "circle" which is like a facebook friend. So, my circle is looking pretty sad with only one person in it. I'll play around with it this weekend and give you guys the 411 on any privacy issues.
