Offcial thread of the Nintendo Workers' International Industrial Union - Great Rumbler - 7th June 2011 Wait, that's not quite right. It's WiiU As in You Are in the game too or something. <iframe width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/JKzgIpC1u5Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/knvRHt6txN0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/COqU_8_sfas" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Quote:Processors: Offcial thread of the Nintendo Workers' International Industrial Union - Weltall - 7th June 2011 So, it has the worst name a console ever had since the first Wii, a controller that is almost as big as an iPad, and technical specifications that weren't impressive five years ago? They'll sell a hundred million anyway. Offcial thread of the Nintendo Workers' International Industrial Union - A Black Falcon - 7th June 2011 No, that CPU is new... the Power7 is a good CPU, IBM's latest. Nintendo won't be using the top of the line version, but still it should be powerful, depending on what GPU is in the box... I mean, yeah, it's not a "several times better than PS3 or 360" situation, most likely, but Wii U DEFINITELY is more powerful than those two systems by some amount. What we don't exactly know yet is what that amount is. It is true that once the PS4 and X720 come out Nintendo will be behind again, but there aren't any signs that either Sony or MS are ready to launch a new console anytime soon, so it might be a while until that begins to hurt Nintendo, and until then they will have the most powerful system. I wonder what excuses third parties will use now to not give full support to Nintendo's console? (I know, being cynical, but it's been so so long now since a Nintendo console (non-handheld) has had good third party support that it's hard not to be...) Offcial thread of the Nintendo Workers' International Industrial Union - Sacred Jellybean - 7th June 2011 This is all I can think of. <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0JElywbkSbY?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Looks pretty gimmicky, they'll have to come out some awesome ideas for gameplay with that big lug of a controller. Some of the demos were kind of impressive, but it seems extraneous. Offcial thread of the Nintendo Workers' International Industrial Union - A Black Falcon - 7th June 2011 Longer version of the nature demo. Pretty impressive, I definitely want to see this at full resolution... <iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6OHUwDShrD4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
