Most Awesome Videogame Intro Ever - A Black Falcon - 15th March 2011 It's a (Japanese) 1985 laserdisc arcade game, originally. It's not based on something else. That video is of the game's only home port which got a US release, the Sega CD version (Japan also got releases on the 3DO, Playstation, Saturn, and LaserActive). The Sega CD game is considered one of the better Dragon's Lair-style FMV games on the system, but I haven't played much of it. I guess you're right it looks sort of like a Western cartoon, but it looks Japanese enough that you can tell it's from there if you know the style. |
