Honestly considering it's the Joker, it makes perfect sense. Fits the whole "spread chaos" thing too. I mean, what a way to mess up a kid's whole outlook on life, the system says kids lie, then this crap happens! He's going to grow up embittered all thanks to this, and Batman will never know until the kid becomes a super villian. Wow I made that pretty DARK there...
