Namco and Sega? - OB1 - 16th April 2003 From IGN: Quote:April 16, 2003 - Reports today from Japanese online news publication Nikkei indicate that Namco has approached Sega Corp. with a proposal for a merger between the two companies. Wow, can you imagine what kind of fighting game the people behind Virtua Fighter could make with the people behind Soul Calibur? Namco and Sega? - Dark Jaguar - 16th April 2003 Something cool most likely. Well, it all makes sense, Nintendo Namco and Sega were working closely anyway. Namco and Sega? - OB1 - 16th April 2003 Now how cool would it be if Nintendo bought out both companies?? Eh? Both Virtua Fighter and Sould Calibur exclusive to Nintendo systems.... I can dream, right? Namco and Sega? - A Black Falcon - 16th April 2003 Namco + Sega... interesting... that wouldn't be so bad... not compared to what we've been hearing as some other possible suitors... Namco and Sega? - Great Rumbler - 17th April 2003 "Namco + Sega" sounds a lot better than "MS or Sony + Sega". Namco and Sega? - Great Rumbler - 18th April 2003 It may have been a fantasy, but was it a final fantasy?! Namco and Sega? - OB1 - 18th April 2003 ![]() You will have to face the wrath of Bert because of that corny joke. ![]() Namco and Sega? - Great Rumbler - 18th April 2003 AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Namco and Sega? - OB1 - 18th April 2003 That baby = you. Namco and Sega? - N_A - 19th April 2003 Over at the PGC forums, they say the Namco webpage says the deal with Sega is official, and that in next year, the 2 companies will actually be acquired by another company. Speculation as to whether Nintendo will make a major move here or not is rampant there. Namco and Sega? - Great Rumbler - 19th April 2003 Quote:Originally posted by N_A If Nintendo buys them it will be one of the smartest moves they have ever made. But, I fear that this unknown third part will more than likely turn out to be MS or Sony. If that's true it will be very bad for Nintendo. Namco and Sega? - OB1 - 19th April 2003 We were kidding about Nintendo's involvement, NA. |
