I would show my desktop, but I never look at that... since I've been using TabWorks since probably late 1996 (though maybe as early as late 1995, I'm not sure), I've gotten very used to it... and using the start menu isn't nearly as easy for me...

Oh, and Autohide MUST be on. I hate seeing the taskbar on the screen...

And yes, 800x600.

What does your Desktop look like? - A Black Falcon - 15th April 2003

My desktop, if you really want to see it... still that Starcraft Ghost wallpaper I put there when the game was announced.

Oh, and the mouse is at the bottom of the screen so the taskbar is up, but printscreen doesn't seem to capture the mouse...

You have a lot of the same games as I do. I didn't know that you have Battlefield... let's play!

What does your Desktop look like? - A Black Falcon - 15th April 2003

I'd put that whole games list in tabworks here but it'd take a little more than 3 screenshots... and that's not including dos games... :)

Oh, and I hate games that automatically put desktop links on you computer... I always have to delete them, which is annoying...

What does your Desktop look like? - OB1 - 15th April 2003

Have you played the Indy PC demo yet? The keyboard and mouse is really bad for the game, but it works just fine with any decent dual analogue PC pad.

What does your Desktop look like? - WhiteFleck - 15th April 2003

Okay, well, here's mine NOW. I plan on changing it, I've had this one for a while.

What does your Desktop look like? - alien space marine - 15th April 2003

56k isn't exactly the greatest thing to play games online with...

What does your Desktop look like? - A Black Falcon - 15th April 2003

Yes, you press print screen then load it into some graphics program and save it as a png, gif, or jpg...

And no, I haven't played the Indy demo... I should download it...

What does your Desktop look like? - Laser Link - 15th April 2003

GR, what is that arrayListType folder on your desktop? The programmer in me is curious.

Here's my current desktop. I've had this on for about a month now. I also like leave clues for people to follow when they look at an screen of my desktop.

What does your Desktop look like? - Great Rumbler - 15th April 2003

That folder is actually my brother's. It's his homework from college.

What does your Desktop look like? - A Black Falcon - 15th April 2003

Ooh, is that 800x600? :)

Netscape ... Communicator? Eek

What does your Desktop look like? - Laser Link - 15th April 2003

There is so much junk on that desktop. I don't use Netscape, don't worry. I'm not that insane. Chances are we don't even have Netscape on here anymore, but we just never deleted the shortcut! I don't really the desktop for anything, it's all my parents' or brother's stuff. But I always commandeer the image. :D

I figured it was your brother's, and I also figure it is some sort of C++ class that holds a list of arrays (that was tough guess ;)) or something like that. It could be Java, but I don't like Java, so I refuse to consider that possibility. :) And there really aren't any other popular Object Oriented languages. Anyway, cool beans.

What does your Desktop look like? - A Black Falcon - 15th April 2003

But Netscape 7 blows away every other browser I've ever used... well, except Mozilla, which is functionally identical...

Um, anyone here even HEARD of TabWorks? :)

What does your Desktop look like? - Darunia - 16th April 2003

Wow, how do I take a snapshot of my desktop...? I want to do that.

What does your Desktop look like? - Weltall - 16th April 2003

I use Mozilla now, mostly because my IE6 simply refuses to work anymore, no matter what I do. And it's grown on me. It's the first Netscape product that is actually not completely inferior to IE.

ABF, why on earth do you still run in 800x600!? Join the rest of us in the high-res 21st century, man!

Darth Runia: Open MSPaint, shrink it so your desktop is displayed, hit the PrintScreen key, and then Edit>Paste into Paint.

What does your Desktop look like? - A Black Falcon - 16th April 2003

Weltall... you then have to save it as a JPG or GIF... bitmaps are huge...

ANd I like 800x600 on my monitor (17"). I've tried 1024x768 and everything's just too small... same as on a 15" monitor really -- its too small. 800x600 is better.

And look, it seems Lazer Link uses it too...

Oh, and once you use NS7/Mozilla its hard to go back to IE...

What does your Desktop look like? - Weltall - 16th April 2003

Jeez... I ran 1028x764 on my 15 when I had one :omg:

I have the same problem so I run in 800x600
There are a couple games I can run at a higher res but for day to day things my monitor looks best at 800x600

What does your Desktop look like? - Dark Lord Neo - 21st April 2003

What does your Desktop look like? - A Black Falcon - 21st April 2003
