Do they just count whoever won the most games, not the person who beat that guy? ...I declare myself a football team, and I will proceed to play a consecutive 2000 matches against my cat this next season! If you like college football and/or World War II... - DMiller - 14th December 2008 College football has a really weird system. The NFL has a normal playoff system where 12 teams make it based on winning their division or their record and they go through 3 rounds of games to make it to the Super Bowl. College football uses BCS rankings, which are a combination of computer scoring and human polls. The top two teams in the ranking compete for the championship. It isn't always the team with the most wins since teams from bigger conferences usually have a better strength of schedule so they could get in with a loss or two over an undefeated team from a smaller conference. It's a really dumb system, but it will never go away because it's a constant source of debate. |
