How many people on the street in your city could answer the question of who are "Romulus and Remus" and what is the Aeneid? I'd expect Italians or Europeans to know about their folklore and cultural heritage. I am surprised that south americans would know enough to make such a immediate connection with Virgil's Aeneid? Aeneid is less known compared to the Greek Homeric epics. Ive heard that Argentina has a large Italian Diasporas , Maybe it comes from there?
