Gunslinger Girls - A Black Falcon - 14th September 2006

Sad, depressing, and tragic story, which virtually guarantees that any happy moments won't last long? Check. Very young (they look like they're about 12... at most...) cyborg girls with guns? Check. Sinister government agencies? Of course! Yup, it's anime all right... :D

Decent though.

Gunslinger Girls - Great Rumbler - 15th September 2006

I really need to get the rest of this series.

Gunslinger Girls - A Black Falcon - 15th September 2006

I made a post because we're watching it in anime club now... the first four definitely made me interested in watching more of it.

Later this semester we watch Kino's Journey, I think. :) :)

You'd better! It's one of the best anime series ever.

Gunslinger Girls - A Black Falcon - 15th September 2006

It's got some some creative connections to Lain and Haibane Renmei and those are probably my two favorite animes ever, so yeah, I definitely want to see it...

Gunslinger Girls - A Black Falcon - 22nd September 2006

Finished the series. Despite a three-episode arc (eps. 9-11) with a major event occuring in the beginning of episode 10 that I immediately (correctly) guessed the secret to (that is, figured out what had actually happened) while they tried to drag out the issue of what had actually happened for two thirds of the episode, it was well done enough that I didn't care much... while obvious, it was still a good section of the story, and it was obvious because it made sense. Also, the last episode was fantastic. Sad and tragic, of course, but really well done... and I've always loved Beethoven's 9th, brillant choice... not a "happy ending", but still, a fitting one. Great show...
